There comes a time when you need to start recruiting some help.
This is going to be an oddly short email considering the complexity of the topic and I’m going to attempt to write it in one fell swoop as opposed to my normal “copywriting” which is a mix of OCD for justified text and the urge to sound unnecessarily profound.
*ding dong* someone just distracted me with a new LiveChat conversation.
Said bluntly, PrimeMind was not a part of my strategic plan for the year. While I’m beyond excited for the opportunity and know it was the right “move”, there has been a plethora of rejiggering going on in the background. Juggling the two positions in conjunction with the daily email series and an attempt to create better time leverage has been a beast.
If I’m honest… I haven’t been exercising, dating, or even grocery shopping. It’s been getting to be a progressively more unhealthy lifestyle and I can feel the burnout encroaching.
Today was a bit mentally crowded, but it prompted a reassessment.
Ghost Influence has been relaunched and is converting surprisingly well considering that optimization of the sales page has been on my task list for some time. I’ve opted to nix the idea to offer a trial as the—entirely organic—traffic is bringing in some baller members.
That said, I have a massive system for syndication and distribution that’s sitting underneath the Ghost Influence brand and it grows in power the more it’s used, but it’s not being fully leveraged as a result of my bandwidth limitations. Through strategic curation of my public presence and perpetual networking, I also have a growing menagerie of influencers, press contacts, and client prospects being added to my address book, again… poorly leveraged.
It’s like having a Ferrari of opportunity and barely enough gas to fuel the engine.
While I regularly syndicate content and make profitable introductions for members within Ghost Influence, it’s rarely used for the brand itself and immensely under leveraged.
The idea being pondered for the last month… how to scale Ghost Influence and expand distribution of PrimeMind without becoming overweight, celibate, and entirely insane.
Today, I think I cracked the nut. It’s going to take a few months to implement, but I’m starting to make connections where the Ghost Influence brand can be used to elevate epic people. This gives me more time and leverage to do epic things for PrimeMind while strengthening the distribution engine… that PrimeMind also happens to be using 😉
This is so not how I thought I would be focused at the beginning of the year, but it’s proving to be a powerful direction in which to head. I’m getting better about leveraging the relationships I’ve built by fostering mutual wins through introductions and prompting.
The LiveChat conversation with Nathan T. just finished, I had been writing this and carrying a 1,711 word conversation with him at the same time. We talked about porn, made puns, and finally arrived at the conversation of Digital Empathy. I let him drive the conversation.
Being “real” takes a solid investment of time, but when you marry that with the formation of connections and the support those around you… people start supporting you in return.
Instead of prompting you with a question, let’s turn the tables. Ask me anything.
