I admittedly had the second email planned, but just said “fuck it” and, rather than cannibalize it to say something new, I deleted the whole thing. This is off the cuff.
A note from my journal last night, “Never filter your expression to please the minority of a minority. The key is to find your minority and they will already be pleased.“
Shout out to Madi T. for this magnificence, “I want to trust that you won’t leave me tied to your four post bed with a blindfold on and then never deliver.” I was LOL’ing awkwardly in a cafe for five minutes.
Madi is my minority and Madi was pleased.
The email itself had a 29% open rate which is double my normal as… well, I’ve done a shit job at keeping in touch with you and the list is cold. That prompted 10 of you to reply and our conversations throughout the day totaled 56 email exchanges.
If my actual bedroom was as popular as my inbox was yesterday… I digress.
In total, 109 unsubscribed as the subject line requested. In her parting comments, Christy B. said “Ask and you shall receive asshole.” To every Christy B. out there no longer seeing this — thanks for bowing out so gracefully. I appreciate your feedback.
What I found most comical was that I was literally telling you to GTFO and you amazing humans (my minority) were recruiting more people in. Mandy was a particularly fast mover:

Many of you were curious what was coming next — what I was selling. The funny thing is, I’m not offering anything here. I do have offers, but selling those isn’t the reason. It’s not hard to figure out what I sell. My email is my domain, there are things there — maybe you’ll check it out, maybe you won’t. Cool with me either way.
The aim is to have intelligent, engaging, and hopefully helpful conversations.
I just landed a $500M company and a $2B company as clients… because of friendly conversations. Never expecting that as the outcome, those connections would have been challenging to have forge if I’d attempted to to do it intentionally. Let’s have friendly conversations, the rest will come in time.
This email series is just me committing to drop a stream of consciousness once a day. It might be a page, it might be a paragraph. No clue. Only time will tell.
